First Attempt at a Blog Post

We're back home after three weeks of traveling.

Here's Matteo at one of our high points,

a literal geographical high point, at around

12,000 feet in the Indian Peaks Wilderness

of the Rockies west of Boulder.

He was entirely taken with his first snow

of the year -- little does he realize

he lives in Alaska...

Footprints were his passion, and in the shadow

of this large rock

(too large to throw in the lake, alas)

he laid down his signature.

Blue Lake, the end point of a two hour hike,

hike and carry, really.

We'd tried the hike earlier in the week,

with 50 mph winds, blizzard conditions.

So this spring-like day with 40-50 degree temperatures and clear sun

was quite the celebration.

Then we were off to Disney World to hook up

with Jeff's family, who make an annual thing of it.

I don't know where this was taken,

but I think it's a great photo of Marin,

and thought it was worthy of sending along.
